Taking Mortgage Skills to the Next Level

Canada's Mortgage Designation Program

In partnership with the Sauder School of Business, Mortgage Professionals Canada’s (MPC) Designation Programs are designed to help MPC members enhance their industry knowledge, improve their technical and management skills, and instill confidence with consumers and industry colleagues.

There are three individual designation programs:

Level 1

AMPC badge

Level 2

PMPC Badge

Level 3

EMPC badge

Each designation is a stand alone demonstration of our members’ commitment to self improvement, professionalism, education and higher learning, and leadership.

Current Programs:

  • The AMPC program is now available for members to register for. Please click the above button to enroll today.

Future Programs:

  • The PMPC program is expected to launch in the fall of 2021. It will build upon the foundation set by the AMPC materials, and provide greater direct practical application of specialized mortgage lending practises, as well as discuss the financial frameworks for mortgage lending, from deposits to investor funding, including bond issuance and securitization.
  • The EMPC designation program, the pinnacle mark of distinction of mortgage industry professionals, will be introduced in early 2022. It will round out the designation programs with more traditional business materials such as leadership, human resources, accounting, strategy, business planning, and marketing as the main subject matter.

Maintaining the Designations:

  • Designation holders will be required to maintain currency of their designation level by annually completing a required education course, provided by MPC.
  • There will also be an additional minimum number of hours of Continuing Education (CE) completed, through courses or seminars offered either by MPC or by other industry participants. MPC will consider these third party courses on a case by case basis to determine any eligible CE credit attributable.
