Description
This is a mandatory continuing education course required by the Financial and Consumer Services Commission (the Commission) for all New Brunswick licensed mortgage brokers and mortgage associates. As the province’s financial and consumer services regulator, the Commission is responsible for the administration and enforcement of provincial legislation that regulates securities, insurance, pensions, credit unions, trust and loan companies, cooperatives, and more. It also provides New Brunswickers with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to make informed spending and investing decisions.
This course highlights some of the specific requirements under the Mortgage Brokers Act that are unique to New Brunswick. This course had to meet very specific requirements established by the Commission, and was approved for the module topics listed below. Completion of this course is a continuing education licensing requirement for all New Brunswick licensed mortgage brokers and mortgage associates. Please note that the learning outcomes from this course are expected to be consistently applied in your day-to-day licensed activities.
