On Thursday, May 16, Mortgage Professionals Canada President and CEO Paul Taylor and Chair Michael Wolfe appeared before the House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance (FINA), to testify on Bill C-97, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on March 19, 2019, and other measures.
In light of the many discussions taking place regarding B-20 stress tests and the federal government’s First-Time Home Buyer Incentive program (FTHBI), prepared by the Ministry of Finance and the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC), we are pleased to share our testimony here.
